Hire fee
The hire fee is £440 per set, per week, for a minimum booking period of two weeks (for two or more sets the minimum booking period is one week). Additional days cost £70, up to £440 for one week, each week thereafter is £350. Discounts available for rental periods of over seven weeks. (All prices exclude VAT).

Delivery and collection
Delivery charges are based on vehicle fuel and driver's time. Please enquire for a quote. Delivery is usually on the day before the hire period and collection on the day after. Each set of exhibits stacks onto 2 trolleys making them easy to store and move around.

Exhibition area
Each exhibition fits into an average size classroom and needs 12 tables. If it is to be set up anywhere other than the ground floor, assistance for the driver is required.

The exhibits
A balanced selection of points from each main topic of the curriculum is addressed. The equipment is intuitive and children quickly grasp what to do although there are simple labels on the exhibits giving instruction. The exhibitions accommodate one class at a time for around 50 minutes and are accompanied by comprehensive Teachers’ Notes.

Skills and processes
The equipment is versatile and can be used in a variety of ways appropriate to different ability levels. The exhibitions widen the range of evidence with which children may challenge their existing ideas about how and why things happen. Communication skills are stretched during sessions as pupils discuss what they are doing, and afterwards as they describe their experiences.

The activity-based approach is particularly suitable for primary aged children. The multi-sensory nature of the experiences provides a broad foundation for the development of more advanced ideas later on. The exhibits are also ideal for children with special educational needs.

Public events
Use the exhibitions singly or combine several sets to make effective attractions suitable for events of all kinds. They are ideal for science festivals, national science week events, and as temporary exhibitions for local museums. They can also be used to raise money as part of a fund-raising event in the school.
